COOL BLUES concert to benefit SKI FOR HEAT 2009
The stage is set for a cool blues concert on January 9th presented by BROC-Community Action in Southwestern Vermont to benefit Ski for Heat 2009. "Downtown" Bob Stannard and Chris Kleeman are reuniting for the first time in two years to rock the blues for this special event. It promises to be an extraordinary evening. A hot blues duo in their own right, Stannard and Kleeman have also shared the stage with performers such as BB King, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and Buddy Guy. The event takes place from 7:30-9:30pm at Burr & Burton Academy's Riley Center for the Arts located at 57 Seminary Street, Manchester, Vermont. Suggested admission $20 per person. Board Game Night Presented by Eastern Star & Masons
Come and enjoy an evening of playing a board game and having dinner from 4-10 pm on Jan. 11. Pot luck dinner being served. 17th Annual Winter Member's Exhibition Southern Vermont Arts Center

Anniversary Worship Service at First Baptist Church
Celebrate the anniversary of First Worship Service in 1834. There will be a celebration of this historic event at the morning worship on Jan 11 09 at 10:30 am followed by a potluck dinner at 12 pm Anyone who has considered this church their home church, history buffs, and friends are welcome to attend both morning worship and the potluck dinner to follow. Pastor Bob Carpenter or chair Martha Thompson will be glad to answer any question. Men Who Cook Annual Fundraiser Jan. 17th
You won't want to miss this long running annual event January 17, that has local men preparing this favorite appetizer, entre or dessert for you to taste and judge! The event starts at 7:00 with appetizers, followed by the entre and finally the dessert course. Tickets are just $25 in advance, $28 at the door.
